Deep, Hands-On AWS Experience

I build production systems with the AWS services that fit the problem—not a one-size-fits-all stack.

Compute: Lambda, ECS, and AWS Batch.
Application integration & messaging: EventBridge, Amazon MQ, SQS, SNS, SES, and End User Messaging.
Data & storage: DynamoDB, Aurora Serverless, S3, EFS, and AWS Transfer Family.
Networking & delivery: VPC, CloudFront, API Gateway, Route 53, and WAF.
Security & operations: IAM, IAM Identity Center, AWS Organizations, KMS, SSM, CloudWatch, GuardDuty, Security Hub, and the AWS Well-Architected Tool.
End-user computing: Amazon WorkSpaces.

Proven in Production

Based in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area, I am an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate and have spoken at AWS Community Day events. I have delivered AWS systems for multimillion-dollar companies and startups, including organizations in healthcare, insurance, and financial services.

I have worked with HIPAA-compliant and SOC 2-compliant companies and understand the regulatory expectations behind their systems. My familiarity with U.S. healthcare and insurance operations shapes how I approach identity, encryption, observability, resilience, and compliance from the beginning—not as an afterthought.

You will work directly with me: a tenacious engineer who can move from architecture to implementation without layers of overhead or a long-term contract.

How I Work

Straightforward advice, practical solutions, and no pressure.

Aligned with Your Goals

I recommend work that supports your goals—not projects designed to create billable hours. Nothing moves forward without your approval and buy-in, and all code I write for you belongs to you.

Simple, Appropriate Solutions

I favor proven tools that fit the use case. As an AWS specialist, I often use AWS services to reduce complexity, but I will recommend solutions outside the AWS ecosystem when they are the better choice. When an important need justifies added cost, I will explain why plainly.

Transparent Billing

Invoices are prompt, accurate, and detailed, with work descriptions, start and end times, and Jira ticket numbers when applicable. There are no surprise charges—and I do not nickel-and-dime clients for a brief email or routine meeting preparation.
